About Shannon

A Spoonful of Sugar was created during the most challenging time in my life. I'm Shannon O'Brien and I truly am living my own Lifetime Movie! I fell in love, got married, had two great kids, and had a great life for many years. In a six month window in 2009, I experienced everything from family off at war, to relocation and divorce, and then stage 4 cancer.

 

In record time I have found perspective and what a perspective it is! I truly believe that God has a plan and everything really happens for a reason. I have no doubt that all of this craziness happened to me so that I can turn around and empower people to handle challenges with and optimistic outlook. I created this organization to do just that! After all we cannot control what God sends our way, but we can control how we respond to it !!!
